Our Story

Islandia, Inc. was incorporated in Broward County Florida in 1988 by Gary Blackledge and his son Greg. Initially the business was primarily focused on commercial painting. However, within a few years it became apparent that concrete restoration of the many older commercial and condominium buildings in South Florida was a need that was not being adequately met. In the late 1990s Islandia, Inc. began to shift its focus to complete concrete restoration services along with waterproofing and painting. In 2016, Gary’s grandson Michael joined the family business. 37 plus years after its formation, 3 generations of Blackledge’s continue to lead Islandia, Inc. as one of Florida’s premier construction and restoration contractors.

Islandia, Inc. only employs experienced and competent workers who are well trained in all industry safety standards. All employees submit to mandatory drug testing as Islandia, Inc. proudly maintains a drug-free workplace. We put our reputation ahead of profits and never cut corners or save money by sidestepping critical insurance requirements. Remember, the bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten!
